Make sure your messaging  lets the audience quickly know why THIS offering is like no other.

Very few really want to read through a lot of text to get to the bullet points of important info, so…

– Concisely outline that information with a call-to-action

– Add an interesting image/video or two, which is likely to grab the attention needed to move all forward to the next step…

– Engagement – 

Pick Your Platform(S)

Not all platforms are created equal. Indeed, the demographics of different platforms vary considerably. To give an example, Gen Z and Millenials prefer Tik-Tok, Snapchat, Instagram, and YouTube, whereas Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube are used by more GenXers –  With Baby Boomers preferring Facebook social interactions. 

Professionals in general will use more LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram with a higher populations of women using Facebook, with LinkedIn being more popular with men.

Take the time to figure out which platforms your prospective customers are hanging out on, and target those platforms.

Here’s a good rule of thumb: Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest, and Instagram are good business-to-consumer (B2C) platforms, while Twitter and especially LinkedIn are better for business-to-business (B2B).

Social Listening

Social listening is an important tactic here: take the time to see what people are saying about your product, competitors’ products, and keywords relevant to your business. Your goal here is to really capture the mood of what people are saying, and why.

Once you understand that, you can respond with that in mind. Do something, large or small, in response to the information you have gathered, and then see whether this changes the social media chatter about your product, and if so how.

Great customer service can help your build trust, improve brand awareness, gain customer loyalty, drive sales, and attract new customers through valuable communications and recommendations. Being a company that doesn’t speak and interact conveniently with your customers just simply annoys and alienates them, leaving the door open for a more welcoming competitor to offer a similar solution and better customer service to capture their/your audience.  If necessary, change your model and Be Available.
